This is one of those decks where each and every Pokemon on the list is required for the deck to function. Raihan, Escape Rope, Tool Scrapper, and even one copy of Marnie can be replaced from the Trainer Cards, but they’re all useful to have if you’re playing in a competitive manner. Here’s where Escape Rope comes in handy: if you can use the Rope to summon Dragapult V from your Bench, you can do 140 damage with just 2 Energies.
With his 2-Energy attack, Max Phantom, Dragapult VMAX is the ultimate damage-dealer in this deck, doing 130 damage to your opponent and 50 to a Pokemon on their Bench.
