In today’s huge presale hype, Standing Stone Games officially unveiled the Fate of Gundabad addition for Lord of the Rings Online.
The Brawler class, a revamped legendary item system, a level cap increase to 140, missions for players as low as level 20, an allegiance system that sees players helping the Zhelruka Dwarves, and, of course, the new zones, where players will “reclaim the once mighty citadel of Máttugard, uncover the hallowed lake of Gloomingtarn, reclaim the once mighty citadel of Máttugard, re
“Following the arduous fights and high casualties of the first attack, Prince Durin and his allies have regrouped and are preparing their last assault on the mountain-home of Gundabad, hoping to recover their family heritage from the Orcs, hobgoblins, and Angmarim who have been infesting it. Tensions between the Longbeards, Stout-axes, and Zhélruka remain high as the vast dwarven army gathers, threatening to shatter the already weak alliance before they can recover and reclaim their inheritance. Meanwhile, the Orc-Chieftain Gorgar the Ruthless’s army, believed to be split and driven back by the dwarven triumphs, has regrouped under the real Lord of Gundabad – the terrible, enormous dragon Hrmil Frost-heart – who would stop at nothing to put an end to Prince Durin and his companions. Take on new enemies, fight as the new Brawler class, create new Legendary Weapons, and finally face Gorgar the Ruthless and Hrmil Frost-heart in a last, decisive battle. If you win, Gundabad will once again and permanently belong to the dwarves!
The expansion is set to debut on November 10th, but “in the case of a delay, you will get the expansion goods no later than December 10th, 2021,” and the instances and raids will be released thereafter, as is customary. In true Daybreak fashion, three packages are on sale, ranging in price from $39.99 to $129.99, and each includes a variety of bonuses, character slots, and supplies. Although the Brawler class is included in the basic edition, the additional carry-alls, cosmetics, mounts, and level bonuses are only available in the bigger packages.
